摘要:Virtual image inpainting is the technique to perfectly fill exposed areas for virtual view synthesis in three-dimensional television (3DTV) and show people a very lifelike 3D display. A novel virtual image inpainting method is proposed in this paper, which doesn't perform any depth-image's pre-processing, but utilize two-dimension motion vectors generated from multi-view coding (MVC) to search the best matching texture pixels before and after the reference video image sequences, and finally the exposed areas are horizontally filled with just one pixel width. Experiments show this method doesn't introduce any geometric distortion, and more real image texture can be obtained for target exposed area. © 2013 Binary Information Press.
