摘要:The strength of brittle ceramics is very sensitive to the cracks induced during the grinding process. Post-machining procedures is necessary to obtain further improvement in the properties. This paper attempts to study the surface integrity of diamond wheel ground engineering ceramics and their surface modification by ultrasonic finishing. Flexural strength is used for evaluating the effect of the two machining processes on the surface integrity. The distributions of the strength data are further analyzed by the Weibull statistical method to give a quantitative measure.
