摘要:A study is conducted to investigate the effects of vibration–dissociation coupling models on high-enthalpy doublecone flowfields. Hypersonic thermochemical nonequilibrium flows over a 25–55 deg double-cone configuration are numerically simulated using the popular Park model, along with the coupled vibration-dissociation-vibration (CVDV) model. The results of surface heat transfer and pressure are compared with experimental data. Numerical simulations are performed by the multiblock parallel finite volume CFD code PHAROS. The inviscid terms are calculated using the modified Steger–Warming scheme, which is capable of capturing the strong shock stably and maintaining sufficient viscous resolution.
