摘要:In order to improve the design and manufacturing efficiency of propellers, a dedicated CAD/CAM system for the whirling process of propeller blades is proposed. The main functions of the proposed system include parametric modeling of propeller blades and tool path solution for the whirling process of the blade. The former takes advantage of Creo to construct propeller’s 3D model by means of parametric modeling of the original design data; the latter is aimed to help manufacture the propeller blades using whirling process which is primarily used in producing threaded parts. © 2019, Springer International Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature.
