摘要:In this paper the magnetic and magneto-optical properties of Co-Nb/Pd and Fe-Si/Cr multilayers are studied. For Co-Nb/Pd(56 Angstrom) multilayers, with decreasing magnetic layer thickness the saturation magnetization M(s) increases, but polar Kerr rotation theta(k) and ellipticity epsilon(k) decrease. For Co-Nb(15 Angstrom)/Pd and Fe-Si(19 Angstrom)/Cr multilayers with thin non-magnetic layers M(s) and theta(k) oscillate with non-magnetic layer thickness. The oscillation period of M(s) is the same for these two series of samples. With non-magnetic layer thickness further increasing, M(s) and theta(k) both approach constants.
