摘要:With the fast development and wide use of motion capture techniques, large volumes of motion capture (MoCap) data have been produced. For efficient reuse of the huge amount of MoCap data, it has been crucial to accurately and efficiently retrieve MoCap sequences of need from the large data repositories. Correspondingly, the field of content-based MoCap data retrieval has been intensively researched in the past years. In this paper, we present a comprehensive survey on recent advances in this field. Specifically, we classify the existent algorithms based on their feature extracting and similarity matching methods, and give a high-level description of each algorithm. Further, problems with the existing algorithms and potential directions for future research are discussed at the end of this paper. © 2018 Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering.
