摘要:Multiphase machine drives are developed for various applications such as 'more-electric' aircraft and ships. To achieve high power density and more reliable, these multiphase systems are attracted more attention in recent decades. Reliability problems despite technology innovations in the employment of multiphase electric motor drives are leading to the requirements to analyses and proposing reliability improvement methods. Also, electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues as another challenge are reported for these systems. Any effort to study the mentioned challenges should be made at the design stage. Suitable, simple, and accurate models of electric motors and their drive systems are necessary to investigate the reliability and EMI levels. In this paper, a suitable model of a high-reliable five-phase BLDC motor drive system is presented. This model can be developed for EMI modeling easily. Also, Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) analyze is discussed to show the reliability level of the fault-tolerant system in comparison with the conventional machine drive system. The model is implemented in Matlab/Simulink environment. © 2020 IEEE.
