摘要：The multi-axial vibration fatigue test is usualy replaced by sequentially conducting each uniaxial vibration fatigue test at present. The reasonableness of this method still needs further acquaintance and improvement in practical application. This paper focuses on solving this problem. Firstly, the difference between multi-axial and uniaxial vibration were analyzed from the point of vibration fatigue theory. Then the vibration fatigue tests of three cases for typical specimen were studied. The results show that the fatigue life, source of crack and the mode of crack propagation under multi-axial vibration condition are different with uniaxial vibration condition. The fatigue life of test specimen under multi-axial vibration condition is significantly shorter than that of uniaxial vibration condition. The results verify the necessity of simultaneous multi-axial fatigue test.
