标题：Investigation on the effect of centrifugal field on microstructure in TiAl-based alloy

摘要：Using centrifugal casting, TiAl-based alloy samples (Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb(at.%)) were produced in permanent mold and treated by HIP(hot isostatic pressing) at 1270°C under 173 MPa for 4 hrs. After the samples were cooled rapidly, we investigated the variations of lamellar space, grain size of the samples and that how the γ-phase precipitates, as well as the effect of HIP on precipitation of γ-phase. Results showed that the minimum grains (about 60 μm) exist in the marginal area of cross section of the samples, while the maximum grains (about 300 μm) appear in the intermediate area. In addition, the variations of lamellar space and the grain size of γ-phase in the cross-section of the samples both fit parabolic equations.
