摘要：The relationship between the fracture toughness increment (Delta K-IC) resulted from the toughening mechanisms such as the phase transformation, the residual stress, the geometry effect and the grain bridging etc. and the volumetric content of zirconia was established to simulate and design the composition content of the zirconia-matrix composite ceramic tool and avoid a lot of "trial and error" experiment. The established simulation model was programmed with C language. The composition content of the composite ceramic tool material ZrO2/Al2O3 was simulated in accordance with the requirement for the fracture toughness. It was proved that the simulated result was in well agreement with the experimented one and the established simulation model was to some extent valid and available in simulating the composition content of zirconia-matrix composite ceramic tool material added with dispersed powder. A new type of ceramic tool material ZrO2/Al2O3 was developed by adding the second phase alpha-Al2O3 on the basis of the simulated result.
