摘要:We consider a cooperative relaying system with source (S) and relay (R) capable of harvesting wireless energy. A power beacon is placed between S and R to transfer wireless power to charge their batteries. Both the time-switching and the power-splitting methods are adopted to facilitate the energy harvesting (EH) at S and R. With the assumption that the predefined energy signal can be canceled by the receivers, we proposed to simultaneously transfer power and signal to strive for more opportunities of EH to greatly boost the amount of harvested energy at S and R. Using the harvested energy, S and R can cooperatively transmit data to the destination according to the decode-and-forward or the amplify-and-forward protocol. We analyze the average amount of harvested energy at S and R, and properly set their transmit powers to make the average amount of consumed energy equal the average amount of harvested energy. The system throughput of the proposed EH-based relaying schemes are analyzed. Extensive numerical results are provided to compare our proposed schemes and reveal the impacts of key system parameters.
