摘要：The main mining coal seam is jurassic in Shendong mining area. As a result of changeable complexity of loose layer thickness of overlying strata, bedrock thickness, bury depth and large changes of hydrogeological conditions. face water inrush and sand collapse accidents occur many times. This mainly adopts drilling observation method to research overburden failure height. This research illustrates water flowing fractured zone of seven mine working faces. For the first time,results show that mine comprises overburden failure two zones distribution, normal overburden failure three zones distribution and overburden failure extra-high water flowing fractured zone distribution, in which, for extra-high water flowing fractured zone type, fractureproduction ratio is 32 to 50. And its causes are discussed. Conclusions enrich overburden failure research. For coal mine safety, it has provided a new experience.
