摘要：In the paper, using water as working fluid, atomization characteristics of spiral nozzles with different diameters were measured by particle image velocimetry (PIV) at different spray pressurs. The distributions of volume flow rate, atomization angle, and particle diameter and particle size evenness were also obtained and the spray characteristics of the spiral nozzles were quantified by the parameters of atomization evenness and the span diameter. The results indicated that both of spray pressure and nozzle diameter control the characteristics of parameters mentioned above. During biomass fast pyrolysis, the nozzle with diameter 5.6 mm and the fluid flow pressure 0.2 MPa is good for quenching the pyrolysis vapor. The conclusions provide important experiment data for the application of spiral nozzle in biomass fast pyrolysis for bio-oil production.
