摘要:The strain aging embrittlement in metallic materials is a common phenomenon, but how to evaluate the strain aging embrittlement is still a problem in engineering. In this paper, the traditional testing techniques for the strain aging embrittlement are briefly summarized and the indentation testing technique for obtaining material mechanical properties is discussed first, and then the evaluation of the strain aging embrittlement in metallic materials using the indentation testing technique is also discussed. The authors proposed to use a simple indentation testing apparatus to evaluate the strain aging embrittlement in metallic materials.
