摘要:This paper proposes an edge-consistency based frame rate up conversion (FRUC) method for stereoscopic video with limited bandwidth. Firstly, we classify the edge blocks and the flat blocks, respectively, by considering the correlation between the texture image and the depth map. Then, by applying the classification information to motion estimation (ME) and motion vector (MV) post-processing, we obtain more precise MVs. Further, an edge-judgement based hole filling interpolation is proposed to eliminate the hole problem. Experimental results show that the proposed FRUC method reconstructs depth maps with clearer edges and texture images of higher quality compared with the ordinary FRUC methods. © 2017 IEEE.
