摘要:To solve issues of low separation accuracy and low classification efficiency of traditional teetered bed separator, a new separator with W-shaped reflector and tangential feed is proposed. In this study, computational fluid dynamics method was used to numerically simulate effect of feed rate of separator inlet and water inlet speed of feed water on internal flow field performance and classification performance. Meanwhile, experimental verification was carried out. Results show that the flow field in classification chamber of new teetered bed classifier is more stable within a certain range of water inlet speed and feed rate, which is more conducive to particles' settlement and improvement of classification efficiency. When the feed rate being 1.6m/s, slurry classification efficiency could reach 70.8%, with the yield could be 35.6%. While the inlet velocity being 0.9m/s, separation efficiency of slurry could reach 58.7%, with the yield could be 34.6%. Outcomes of this study could provide certain references for revealing classification mechanism of classifier. © 2020, Editorial Board of Journal of Mining & Safety Engineering. All right reserved.
