摘要:In this paper, we proposed a new method to evaluate the reliability of information at “desired frequencies” of CSEM data, including both main frequencies and their harmonics. For convenience, “desired frequencies” will be called CSEM frequencies. CSEM could be any artificial source electromagnetic method in this paper, such as CSAMT, MCSEM or WFEM. In this method, we first calculate the spectrum of raw data, then make a preprocessing on spectrum at CSEM frequencies to get a modified spectrum. By applying an envelope algorithm based on Hilbert transform, we could get an upper envelope for the modified spectrum. Then, divide envelope value at CSEM frequency by original spectrum to get a noise ratio, a new defined parameter to indicate noise effect at corresponding CSEM frequency. By giving a threshold for this noise ratio, we could extract a lot of eligible frequencies from CSEM data, including a lot of harmonics. An additional edit algorithm is used to eliminate possible outliers to make this method more robust. By using this method, the number of frequencies for exploration could be highly increased without increasing any field work, and EM exploration can be more efficient and time-saving. Besides, this algorithm can be applied for all periodic signal. © 2019 SEG
