摘要：Exploiting the permanent magnet wind generator ( PMWG) with high speed and high power density is one of the promising aspects in the field of the wind generator design. In this paper, the design principles of the high speed PMWG are proposed and the detailed design of a 360kW, 7000rpm PMWG used in a wind energy storage system is discussed. Based on the design scheme, the simulation has been conducted and the results verify the design modeling correctly. The rotor structure of the designed PMWG is surface-mounted, thus the permanent magnet ( PM) has to be protected from the huge centrifugal force. The conventional measure that the rotor assembly is retained within carbon fiber sleeve is proved to be inappropriate due to the huge radial size of the designed generator's rotor. Therefore, a novel hybrid protection method that the PM is firstly fixed to the rotor core by screws, and then banded with carbon fiber has been applied. The measure has been verified to be effective through the Finite Element Method ( FEM). Based on the above study, the prototype is manufactured and the prototype test results show that the design meets the requirements.
