摘要:Large single crystals of optical quality of L-lithium hydrogen malate have been grown from aqueous solutions by controlled cooling. Complete tensors of pyroelectric, optical, dielectric, thermal expansion, piezoelectric, electrooptic, elastic and thermoelastic properties were determined. The crystals exhibit a strong anisotropy in respect to thermal, optical, dielectric and elastic properties. A pyroelectric effect similar to that in tourmaline, and piezoelectric and electrooptic effects about three times larger than those in α-quarz are observed. © by R. Oldenbourg Verlag, München 1987
