摘要:As an intelligent optimization algorithm, Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm has a good global optimization mechanism. However, the convergent speed of the algorithm is slow, especially in later period and a well-behaved precision can not be got when the dimension of functions is very high. To overcome the two defects, a modified ABC that improves the local search mechanism has been proposed in this paper. It performs well in the aspects of speeding up convergence and improving precision compared with standard ABC. Meanwhile, it has been applied to face recognition via sparse representation and has a good performance.
