摘要:The nonlinear optical properties and the saturable absorption performance of CdSe/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) were experimentally investigated. The experimental results revealed strong saturable absorbed properties of CdSe/ZnS QDs at λ = 1.06 μm, which guarantee QDs passively Q-switched lasers. Subsequently, as an application, CdSe/ZnS QDs as saturable absorber passively Q-switched Nd:GdVO 4 laser at 1.06 μm was demonstrated. The Q-switched pulse train with a duration of 233 ns at a repetition rate of 556.2 kHz was generated. © 2019 The Japan Society of Applied Physics.
