摘要：For the nonlinear laser device with intracavity doubling or parameter oscillator, the quasi-continuous operating is needed to improve the peak power inside the laser cavity, and AO Q-switching is an important way to obtain the quasi-continuous laser. Based on the static output of a diode pumped a-cut Nd:GdVO4laser at 1.34 μm, the dynamic output properties of the AO Q-switched laser are experimentally studied. When the repetition rate of the AO Q-switch is 5 kHz, the output pulse width is 170 ns, the pulse energy of 44.8 μJ and the peak power of 256 W are obtained. Experimental results indicate that average output power at 1.34 μm will increase as the repetition rate of AO Q-switching increase, but the pulse width will be narrower and the peak power will be higher when the repetition rate gets lower.
