摘要:In this paper, a study on in situ growth of Ti(CxN1-x) whisker is presented under various process conditions, in which the molar ratio of Ti:C is 2.3:1. In experiments, TiO2 and amorphous carbon is used as raw material. NaCl is used as halogenating agent. NiCl2 is used as catalyst. An in situ growth technology is used to directly synthesize Ti(CxN1-x) whiskers. The yield and morphology of the whiskers are analyzed using a scanning electron microscope(SEM) to investigate the growing mechanisms and preparation technology optimization of in situ growth of Ti(CxN1-x) whisker. The results of the experiment indicate that the Ti(CxN1-x) whisker under the process condition, in which the mixture of raw material is heated to the synthesis temperature of 1300°C and held for 90 minutes duration time in a flowing nitrogen gas atmosphere with a flux of 0.25 Nm3/h, has the best morphology character and can be obtained at a most yield.
