摘要:The linear and nonlinear absorption characteristics of a home-built multilayer tungsten ditelluride (WTe2) saturable absorber at similar to 3 mu m were demonstrated for the first time. A passively Q-switched Ho,Pr:LiLuF4 laser was realized by inserting the WTe2-saturable absorber into a plane-concave laser cavity. A maximum average output power of 128 mW, with a pulse duration of 366 ns at a repetition rate of 92 kHz was obtained under an absorbed pump power of 3.67 W, corresponding to a pulse energy of 1.4 mu J.
