摘要：The Al2Cu/α-Al composite coating was prepared on pure Al with Cu powders by plasma jet surface metallurgy technique. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the coating were observed and examined by optical microscope, SEM, hardness measurement and wear test. The results show that microstructure of the coating consists of coarse dendrite grows up against heat flow at the bottom and fine dendrite uniformly distributed in the upper. The coating has higher microhardness of 260 HV than the hardness (74.5 HV) of Al. The coating exhibits excellent wear resistance in the rolling wear test with oil as the lubricant. The mass loss of pure aluminium is 6-7 times of that of the composite coating in the process of the wear tests.
