摘要:In the conventional grinding processes, grinding fluids are used to remove the heat, to reduce friction, to clean, to break and transport chips, to prevent workpiece from undesirable surface react ions, to improve surface finish and dimensional accuracy. However, there is a hydrodynamic action at the grinding zone between the ginding wheel and workpiece because of grinding fluids. This paper deals with the hydrodynamic action at the surface grinding. Cosidering the effects of the permeability of the grinding wheel, a three-dimensional flow equation of finite line contact is yielded by using lubrication theory. Using numerical calculation method, numerical solutions of the vertical force caused by grinding fluids in grinding zone are obtained. In addition, the effects of the permeability of grinding wheel, relative speed, and clearance between grinding wheel and workpiece on the vertical force are discussed. The numerical calculation results are in good agreement with experiments.
