摘要：A nonlinear dynamic model is established to investigate the inherent characteristics of compound planetary gear set. Further, the analytical method is proposed to evaluate the time-varying mesh stiffness (TVMS) of the system based on improved potential energy method. Moreover, an analytical approach is proposed to quantify the TVMS reduction due to crack damage for the internal gear. Finally, the numerical analysis method is used to solve the equation of the free motion, and the inherent characteristics of the system with and without damage are obtained. The phenomenon of loci veering induced by TVMS is analyzed. The effects of the crack propagation on the natural frequencies of the system are also analyzed.
